Bird watching

Approximately 58 species have been recorded within the National Park, Bird watching enthusiasts may see or hear stunning Shining Cuckoos, German owls and possibly even a great Spotted Kiwi. The experience of being immersed in the Beech Forest surrounded by the distinctive call of the Bellbird ( Korimako) and Tui among others is magic.
